What if the real reason Edward shouted at Alice upon learning that she had promised to change Bella was because you became sexual submisse to the person who changes you. In the Cullen household Carlise is the alpha and takes care of all his children and has them please him when he desires them. It is now after the newborn fight and Edward has to tell Bella how the family works and then while talking to Carlise it is decide he will change her.
I think Alice and Jasper would do as Carsile asked out of respect and desire to fit in.

Decaf – This section is for ideally 17 years and under. (but if you are uncomfortable with sex you can enter this)
Birds – expressing intimate love without "making love". The goal of this competition is to make the readers see and feel the intimate connection between the characters without the aide of a sexual moment.
Kahula – This section is for 18 years and above.
Bees - expressing raw sexuality. The goal of this competition is to make the readers see and feel the sexuality and the intensity of the moment. Hate can be just as passionate as love. NO rape/abuse.
Your entry can be any fandom, encouraging everyone to write outside their normal fandom. No crossovers.
Can write in a collaboration with another author.
Three entries max. per author. (this includes collaborations and individual works)
The rating for Decaf is either E or T rated.
Kahula rating can be M or NC-17.
You do not have to stick to cannon in any of the fandoms.
Posting will be on the TWCS Library using the challenge feature.
Each entry must be between 2,500 and 10,000 words without the heading in a word document count.
Entries will be taken from Monday the 18th of January 2010 at 00:01 CST through to Friday 12th of Feb 2010 at 24:00 CST.
When voting will commence on Monday the 15th of Feb 2010 through to Friday 19th of Feb 2010 at 24:00 CST.
Public vote plus Barista’s choice (TWCS Staff) will be poll voted for both Decaf and Kahula groups. We will also have an encouragement award for a newbie!
The 1st place winners in each category will receive a journal from The Writer’s Coffee Shop’s Store. Be up on TWCS Hall of Fame and have bragging rights.
Barista’s choice and encouragement award will receive a certificate and phone charm, and will also feature in TWCS Hall of Fame.
