1: Update Date Issues
2: SQL Error
3: Internet Explorer
1: Update Date Issues: We are aware that here is a intermittent issue with stories that have updated in 2013 but still show the last update date. This will cause them to stay in the current update position of your favorites lists. We are working on resolving this.
In the interim, authors can contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org. to correct the date to the right one. When the dates are fixed, this will shift the stories in your favorites lists and the Most Recent lists accordingly. We're fixing them as fast as the authors inform us of dates.
However email alerts are still going out when authors update chapter so please ensure you have "Contact when favorites are updated" checked in the My Preferences section of My Account so you will get an email alert.
2: SQL Error: Since the start of the new year, we've been having issues with the server. Chapters will post successfully and email alerts will go out to those who have your story favorited. However, when the server goes to return a successful posting message to you and updates the most current date, that error occurs. If you get the SQL error, check the table of contents. Do not hit refresh (f5) or resumbit the chapter, as that will post duplicates.
3: Internet Explorer: Newer versions of Internet Explorer are not compatible with our programming. Most, if not all, of our features will NOT not work if you use IE. You might want to access the Library using Firefox, Chrome, Safari or Dolphin browsers.

A lot of our members are having problems receiving email alerts. It seems to be a common problem with members who have comcast.net/AOL/ATT/ emails. A few other members with different email providers are experiencing the same problems. Our alert system is working properly. The emails are being created and leaving our server. For some reason they are not making it to your inbox. All we can do on our end is ensure that the alerts are generated and sent. After they leave our server I'm unable to track the problem.
The best and easiest solution we can see is to set up a free gmail account if you are not receiving email alerts. In gmail's settings you can set up the incoming mail to forward to your comcast address. A lot of people like this option because they can use the gmail account for all of their fanfic needs and keep their person email private.
Thank you to all or our members for your patience, understanding and support as we work through bugs and improve the site for your enjoyment.
